SNVIA Class I Irrigation Technician (Coverage)
An SNVIA Class I Irrigation Technician displays a complete understanding of common materials, equipment and processes used in the landscape irrigation industry including: polyvinyl chloride (PVC) pipe, polyethylene (PE) pipe/tubing (blank/inline), emitters (micro line/inline/point-source/drip), fittings, valves (remote control /gate/ball), sprinkler heads (rotor and spray), nozzles, PVC primer, PVC solvent cement, PVC thread seal tape/sealant, precipitation rate and distribution uniformity.
Required Training & Certifications:
- Basic Irrigation – 101
- PVC primer, solvent cement, thread seal tape/sealant
- precipitation rate and distribution uniformity
- pressure and friction loss charts
- work orders and documents
SNVIA Class II Irrigation Technician (Control)
An SNVIA Class II Irrigation Technician displays a complete understanding of all components of a complete irrigation system including: backflow, booster pump, controller, master valve, flow sensor, electric/remote-control valves, and wiring, including the relationship of voltage, current, and resistance. Needs to obtain a SNVIA Class I Irrigation Technician completion certificate prior to testing for this exam.

- Advanced Irrigation – 201
- Basic Controller Programming
- Basic Controller Troubleshooting
- basic field wire troubleshooting

- basic point of connection and backflow principals
SNVIA Class III Irrigation Water Manager (Technology)
An SNVIA Class III Irrigation Field Manager displays a complete understanding of all irrigation services including: the management of multiple field technicians, dispatch, billing, and inventory, advanced irrigation design concepts, smart and central irrigation controllers, and programming including: cellular, ethernet, radio communications and two-wire decoders systems.
Need to obtain both Plus, will have to pass all certifications for both SNVIA Class I Irrigation Technician and SNVIA Class II Irrigation Technician.

- Advanced Web/Cloud System Programming
- Advanced Web/Cloud System Troubleshooting
